Family is the basic unit of society. It is not an institution merely designed by man, it was created by God for the benefit of man, and man has been given stewardship over it.
Over 350 families joined the KSCSI Family Day 2018 held last February 24, 2018 at Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife. It was a day filled with excitement, gaiety, and laughter as families get to bond with each other and enjoy the fellowship with other families.
The celebration started with praise and worship lead by the KSCSI Band to give glory and thanksgiving to God who instituted families. It was then followed by the short but very meaningful exhortation of our school chaplain, Pastor Herman Rosales. He stresses that for families to be stronger and doing its God-given roles must have TIME for each other, SACRIFICE for the good of the family, demonstrate LOVE for one another, and make GOD the center of the family so everything else will follow.
Subsequently, students from all departments showcased their God-given skills and talents during the presentations. Dances and heartfelt song numbers were performed by the KSCSI Dance Troupe and Singing group. The adorable preschool and selected primary students also had their wonderful dance presentations. Also, the JHS students had their fair share of presenting cultural dances and modern hip-hop dance. Last but not the least, the KSCSI Staff and Parents had their equally thrilling dance presentation.
Families also enjoyed the exciting parlor games and win groceries and special prizes such as Methuselah award, Colony award, and United Family award. Alongside with it, the raffle draw was also anticipated by family members who were eager to hear their names.
After a half day of celebration, the festivities were concluded by a prayer of thanksgiving, blessing, and family lunch out. Undeniably, families took this opportunity to really spent time together, relax, socialize with other KSCSI families and realize that God is the head of the family which He entrusted to take care and love.
