It was a fun-filled day last October 28, 2017 for KSCSI students, staff, and parents as we celebrated one of the most awaited events this year—the Sports Day 2017.
The event started with a parade around 7 o’clock in the morning going to Amoranto Sports Oval. Teachers, students, and parents wearing their respective colored shirts enjoyed their walk while waving at people along the streets.
Students were divided into teams of Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, and Violet. They were assigned to a particular game(s) in which they have to represent their team.
The pre-school department had their obstacle relays which both students and parents participated. The parents also made their team banner and yell. In the end, the yellow team emerged as the champion team in pre-school department.
In the grade school level, the combination of Primary and Intermediate Departments had their Laro ng Lahi, all Filipino games such as patintero, putukan lobo, agawan buko, Palo sebo and the likes. Students played according to the stations they were assigned. After a half day of sports and games, the Yellow team was announced as the champion team.
On the other hand, the Junior High School Department had their week-long Intramurals 2017. The elimination rounds happened last October 19-26, 2017 at Bliss covered court. The games were individual and team sports such as basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and chess. The championship happened on October 27, 2017 at Amoranto Covered Court the same with the hurdles and team yell. After a day of a tight fight between teams, the Yellow Team was declared as the champion for Junior High School Intramurals.
Overall, KSCSI Sports Day 2017 was a blast and a success not only for the champion team but also for all as we learned the value of teamwork, hard work, and sportsmanship. Truly, KSCSI students, staff, and parents are good sports.
